Showcasing the city’s most exciting artists working in dance, puppetry, music, and more!

Returning for its second edition this June, Sugar Sugar! transforms Domino Square’s waterfront amphitheater along the East River into a festive, open-air stage for new performances, from sexy and brazen to joyful and absurd. Over four weeks, on Wednesdays and Thursdays at sunset, artists working across dance, puppetry, theater, performance art, and music will premiere performances conceived specifically for the park. Each week’s performances extend the legacy of North Brooklyn’s vibrant creative community, foregrounding artists who continue to shape the neighborhood’s avant-garde performance culture. Attendance is free, reservations encouraged. Sugar Sugar! is organized by Public Assembly. The 2026 edition team includes founder Annabel Thompson; curators Alessandra Gómez and Theresa Buchheister; creative producer Nora Chellew; head of production Alexandra Winters; administrator Maggie MacTiernan; production coordinator Dylan Sherman; production assistants Jamie Craib and Lucy Rice; stage manager Cassiel Fawcett; scenic consultant Cate McCrea; lighting design by Revolutionary Lighting; and technical production by Devlin’s.
