Join us for our fourth year of Típico P'al Pueblo, honoring Dominican community through a night of live music, dancing, singing, performances and food. Hosted by Esteban Duran, two live bands share the lively Dominican folk tradition of Típico music and engage in a back-and-forth dueling showcase.

Event Details

Típico (also known as merengue cibaeño or colloquially as perico ripia'o) is a musical genre of the Dominican Republic, and the oldest style of merengue. Typical istruments that are used are the accordion, bass guitar, güira, conga, and tambora (drum).
