Stand Clear of the Closing Doors, Please is a one-of-a-kind family-friendly storytelling performance that follows a lost toy, Catbear, as they travel through the tunnels of New York City on six different subway lines, looking for their owner. Each train has its own story, and Catbear experiences all the sights and sounds of New York City before landing home again. This show will be bilingual - English and Spanish. // Stand Clear of the Closing Doors, Please es una actuación narrativa única que sigue a un juguete perdido, Catbear, mientras viajan a través de los túneles de la ciudad de Nueva York en seis líneas diferentes de metro, buscando a su dueño. Cada tren tiene su propia historia y Catbear experimenta todas las vistas y sonidos de la ciudad de Nueva York antes de aterrizar nuevamente en casa. . Este espectáculo será bilingüe: inglés y español.

For thirteen years, Spellbound has created original, multidisciplinary performances designed to delight, educate, and inspire New York’s youngest audiences and their families. Spellbound produces original works for 0-5 year olds and provides early childhood education programs and community events for young children. 

ABOUT THE PERFORMER

ANA CANTORAN

Ana Cantorán is a NYC based, Mexican Theatre Artist. She is an actress, director, mover, visual poet, singer, collaborator, teaching artist, space holder and passionate theatre creator. She has toured her original works worldwide throughout North and Central America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Ana holds a BFA in Dramatic Arts by BUAP, Puebla, Mexico and an MFA in Theater: Contemporary Performance by Naropa University, Boulder CO.

Ana Cantorán es una artista teatral mexicana radicada en Nueva York. Es actriz, directora, poeta visual, cantante, colaboradora, educadora teatral, creadora de espacios y teatrera apasionada . Ha presentado sus obras originales en Norteamérica, Centroamérica, Europa, África y Asia.

Ana es Licenciada en Arte Dramático por la BUAP, Puebla, México, y tiene una Maestría en Bellas Artes en Teatro: Performance Contemporáneo por la Universidad Naropa, Boulder, Colorado.
