Pique-nique's Unheard series celebrates musical discovery—those spontaneous moments when artists listen deeply to each other and let curiosity guide the sound. Join us for an evening of unrehearsed musical conversation, where freedom takes form and sound takes shape. For this special Unheard performance at Domino Park, William Alexander will invite a group of multi-instrumentalists to create two fully improvised sets under the open sky.

William Alexander is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Los Angeles, currently based in Brooklyn, with roots in Okinawa. Coming up in Los Angeles’ improvisational scene, William is widely regarded as a “musician’s musician” collaborating as a drummer and percussionist with the likes of André 3000, Connan Mockasin, Laraaji, John Carroll Kirby, Carlos Niño, Mndsgn, and Nick Hakim. His latest album, Solo, explores the intersection of bedroom folk, soul, and Brazilian Tropicália, evoking the spirit of 1970s masters like Caetano Veloso and Erasmo Carlos.
