Join naturalist and nature writer Russell Jacobs on a nature walk in Domino Park to learn about the natural history of the Brooklyn waterfront, the ongoing environmental restoration work in the park, and how to identify NYC's migrating birds.

RUSSELL JACOBS

Russell has worked in coastal restoration, environmental education, and ecology in and around New York City for numerous organizations and companies, including NYC Bird Alliance, the New York Botanical Garden, Classic Harbor Line, eDesign Dynamics, and more. His writing has appeared on publications such as Slate, Hell Gate, and others, including his newsletter Landlubber. He's currently working on his first book, Bait, about the natural and human history of anchovies, herring, sardines and other small fish in big schools, to be published by MIT Press in 2028.
